How it works

From public records to a shortlist you can act on

Three steps, one file. Nothing to install and no account to create.

STEP 1

We collect and check

We filter public AusTender contract notices to this scope and check each one against its AusTender record at the time of retrieval.

STEP 2

You download one file

Each edition is a single CSV that opens in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets, with one row per contract. Notice IDs and source links are included in the full edition and masked in the free sample.

STEP 3

You plan your research

Filter by agency, value or end date, check the official notice on AusTender, and decide where to spend your business development time.

FAQ

Questions

Plain answers about the data and its limits.

Who is this for?

Businesses that sell ICT or advisory services to the Australian Government, such as IT firms, consultancies and their partners, who want to research large contracts with reported end dates in the next 3 to 6 months.

Does an end date mean a new tender is coming?

No. An end date is a research starting point, not a new tender. Contracts can be extended, varied, renewed under an existing arrangement or simply end. Check the official notice and its amendment history before acting.

Where does the data come from?

Public AusTender contract-notice data, released by the Department of Finance under CC BY 3.0 AU. ContractSprig is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Australian Government, AusTender or the Department of Finance.

Is it complete?

No. It reflects the source on the retrieval date only and is not an official or complete government census. Reported dates and values can change after retrieval.

What is left out?

Personal contact fields, addresses, free-text descriptions and contracts with sole-trader or unclear supplier forms. The supplier-form filter is a name check, not independent verification. Government marks, Coat of Arms and Approach to Market documents are not included. In the free sample edition, supplier names, ABNs, notice IDs and source links are also masked.

Does ContractSprig add anything to the source data?

Yes, a few derived fields: Canberra-time end dates, a scope label, the end-date window, an amendment count, a verified flag (the row was checked against its AusTender record at the time of retrieval), a verification note and the retrieval time. Everything else is as published on AusTender.

Can I reuse the data?

Yes, as the CC BY 3.0 AU licence permits, keeping attribution, source notices, licence links and change notices. See the terms.
